Pretty Mommy Cat goes to Petsmart

Mommy cat actually loved her cage at Petsmart.  It was so hard for us to leave her there.  I love her bunches.  Ella was fine until the last minute.  We both cried a little, but we know she'll get a good home very quickly.  She's the most loving cat.  If you adopt her, please let us know that she's happy and ok!

I'm just now posting about TicToc because we were still considering keeping her. She's an incredible cat, but unfortunately one of us is allergic to cats. When we had just one cat (mommy) and kittens, the allergies were nonexistent.  Now that the kittens are a little bigger, the allergies are flaring up.  We know we can tolerate one cat (we're keeping one kitty, Radio), but keeping TicToc and Radio is just pressing our luck. 

TicToc was found of the west side of Indianapolis as a stray with her momma cat and three siblings on August 21, 2014 by Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. I brought Midnight and her family home on September 3rd.  She was very sick with an upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis.  We quickly got her healthy, and she starting gaining weight. 

TicToc is the sweetest kitten ever.  She's friendly, social, and loving.  If you need a kitten for a toddler, look no further. TicToc is your girl. If you want a kitten to snuggle while working on the computer or watching TV, TicToc is the cat for the job!  

TicToc will have full panel of vaccinations and be spayed prior to adoption. Should be available the week before Thanksgiving (estimation).   

 TicToc and her sister Bo, sleeping off the respiratory infection back in September.  All healthy now!

Midnight was found of the west side of Indianapolis as a stray with his momma cat and three siblings on August 21, 2014 by Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. I brought Midnight and his family home on September 3rd.  He was very sick with an upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis.  We quickly got him healthy, and he starting gaining weight.  Midnight is now the biggest cat of the litter.

Midnight is very friendly and loves children. He has been thoroughly socialized by my three year old triplets and is held often.  Midnight tolerates the clumsiness, LOTS of rowdiness, and not-so-gentle hands of my preschoolers. He's very sweet.  Midnight also knows how to make his own fun and can turn any random object into a toy.  He's a blast to play with or just sit back and watch!

Midnight will have full panel of vaccinations and be neutered upon adoption. Should be available the week before Thanksgiving (estimation).

Pretty Mommy Cat was found of the west side of Indianapolis as a stray with a litter of 3 kittens on August 21, 2014 by Indianapolis Animal Care and Control.  She was a very thin 7lbs.  IACC added 2 abandoned kittens to her litter, and she took them right in as her own.  What a great mom she is!!  I took her home on September 3rd. She quickly filled out to a healthy weight, eating both wet and dry food She did get the upper respiratory infection at the shelter but never stopped caring for her kittens.  She nursed them all, and even now over two months later, if they want to nurse, she always lets them.

Mommy Cat may be my most favorite cat ever. She is so sweet. She single handedly taught the meaning of the word "gentle" to my three year old triplets. Even though my two sons are still working on the concept, she always comes back for more.  She loves their attention! She is very social and loves to be part of the action! She wants to be held or close to you when you're sitting still, but she also doesn't want to miss any activity. In our house she loves to observe a triplet bath time, meal time, and play time, especially if Thomas trains are involved.  She also loves playing with balloons and cat toys. 

I'm not sure how Mommy Cat would do with dogs. She wants to fight with my dogs because they bark at her from the other side of their gate. This certainly is directly related to the fact that a.)the dogs are barking and b.) her desire to protect her kittens. Of course, I have no idea if she might be more open to dogs when she's separated from her kittens.

Mommy cat has had her full panel of vaccinations and will be spayed on Wednesday Oct.29.  She should be available around November 3rd.

I'm going to miss Mommy Cat so, so much. She's the best.

Digger: female kitten

Our sweet little girlie, Digger, was found with her sister on the northeast side of Indianapolis on August 25, 2014 by Indianapolis Animal Care and Control.  IACC placed her with a surrogate mother who took her right in and nursed her.  When I picked her up on September 9th from IACC, she was maybe 2 weeks old, only about 7oz, and so sick.  Her upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis made her miserable.  She eventually became so stuffy that refused to nurse, so I bottle fed her every two hours.  I think that this constant contact with me significantly shaped her personality as the sweet cuddler that Digger is today.  Besides the bottle feeding, she's been very well socialized by three year old triplets.  Digger not only tolerates the clumsiness, LOTS of rowdiness, and not-so-gentle hands of my preschoolers, but she LOVES to be around them.  She can always be found playing with them and their toys. She enjoys Thomas train sets the most.  Digger will be just fine in a household with children of any age!

*The name Digger was given by a three year old boy who loves diggers and backhoes and cranes.  The name Digger is not reflection on the personality or behavior of the kitten. :)
